Andy began playing the drums around the age of ten in Southwest Minnesota. An old used snare drum and a love of music began a life changing journey that continues to play out.
It wasn’t long until Andy began playing the drum kit and got out gigging and recording along with playing at school events.
Andy is a graduate of The Musician’s Institute, Hollywood, CA where he studied under such greats as Ralph Humphrey (Frank Zappa, Mothers of Invention and LA studio drummer), and Joe Porcaro (Sammy Davis Jr, Frank Sinatra, and LA studio drummer), along with many others.
Andy has been an active drummer for the past 16 years whose performance history includes numerous recording sessions and live performances with many bands, playing all styles of music from Rock to Jazz. Most recently, Andy plays with a local Phoenix rock band called Lucky Edmund.
When Andy gets behind his TJS Custom Drums his desire and passion for music is obvious. He gives his band its solid foundation with his powerful style and groove, not allowing you to sit still.
